This method enables participants to acquire specific knowledge and practical experience by performing real, concrete work. Such acquired skills are then much more easily transferable into a real-life company.

The concept rests on practice, training and job search. Practice firms (TPH) are at the boundary between corporate/employer simulation and the real-life business world.

To make sure its administrative paperwork and business processes are realistic, each TPH traces and replicates the business model of one or more real-life companies, which then become its sponsoring firms.

At Odyssee Québec-Monde, our business model mirrors that of the L'Aventurier, Chlorophylle and Guide Aventure boutiques.

In addition, all participants simultaneously carry out a job search in their particular business segment in order to quickly enter, or re-enter, the job market and labour force.
