Plan, organize, direct and control the Accounting Department's operations. Develop and implement the company's financial operations, systems and procedures. Prepare financial statements, budget estimates, and other financial analysis and management reports. Evaluate financial information systems as well as accounting systems' and procedures' activities, and come up with modifications. COMPULSORY QUALIFICATIONS University or College diploma in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field. REQUIREMENT The candidate has to qualify as a result of the selection process to be admitted into the Practice firm. The Accounting Technician calculates, prepares and processes invoices, accounts receivable, budgets, and other ordinary books and ledgers in accordance with established procedures. FONCTIONS PRINCIPALES Calculate, prepare and issue account statements and other financial statements using information systems in accordance with established procedures. Calculate employees' payroll and fringe benefits. Prepare and verify employee payroll slips. Complete, verify and process forms and documents relating to administration of fringe benefits such as pension plans and employment insurance. Inform employees on payroll issues. Prepare and balance period end reports and reconciliate the payroll register and bank statements. Maintain financial books and ledgers, and determine and maintain various accounts' balances. Carry accounting entries over to the journal and reconciliate accounts, prepare accounts' trial balances, maintain the general ledger and prepare financial statements. Prepare pay, public utility and income tax cheques, as well as other invoice-paying cheques. Complete and submit income tax instalment, workers' compensation and retirement benefit forms, as well as other governmental documents. COMPULSORY QUALIFICATIONS College or vocational diploma in administration. Equivalent experience can compensate insufficient training. REQUIREMENT The candidate has to qualify as a result of the selection process to be admitted into the Practice firm.
