The Purchasing Supervisor plans, organizes and supervises Purchasing Department activities. (S)He develops and implements the company's purchasing policies, and carries out real-life and fictitious purchasing for the Practice firm.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
• Develop purchasing policies and control the real-life and virtual Purchasing Department's budget.
• Review purchase requests to verify their correctness and confirm the shortage of material, equipment   and/or supplies in the current inventory.
• Plan participating purchases according to the (virtual) approved budget.
• Examine tenders, make sure they satisfy requirements and determine which one is most attractive and   beneficial to the Practice firm.
• Negotiate purchase contracts so as to obtain the best possible prices.
• Determine the nature and quantity of merchandise to be purchased.
• Approve and issue purchase orders.
• Purchase the goods, equipment, material or services for the TPH.
• Monitor contract execution and contact suppliers to solve any problems.
• Keep price lists and catalogues up to date and identify possible supply sources.

• Examine the merchandise received in order to either authorize its payment or recommend its rejection.
• The person holding this position can be called upon to train new participants to do their work.
• Have the TPH's CEO approve all real-life purchase requests.


COMPULSORY QUALIFICATIONS

University or College diploma in administration.

Equivalent experience can compensate insufficient training.

The Purchasing Attendant purchases supplies, general and specialized equipment, material, and business services.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
• Purchase supplies, general and specialized equipment, material, and business services.
• Evaluate needs and establish equipment, material and supplies requirements.
• Promote purchases, consult with suppliers.
• Determine contract terms and conditions, provide them or recommend their approval.
• Draw up delivery schedules, monitor contract execution, and contact clients and suppliers to solve any   problems.


COMPULSORY QUALIFICATIONS

University, College or vocational diploma in administration.

Equivalent experience can compensate insufficient training.
